Robert has developed instruments for climate sensing, surgical retraction, and MEMS device inspection. He has experience with complete system design, from conceptualization and finite-element analysis through computer aided design, design for manufacturing and manufacturing technologies. His focus is on clean execution to challenging system designs, including multi-axis, high-tolerance positioning, robust sample exchange, and stable, drift-free optomechanical solutions.
